2022 NRA Midsouth Regional Mid-Range Combined Championship
Memphis Sport Shooting Association
Oct 22 _ 23, 2022 ID#2022175569.
This year MSSA will be hosting the Midsouth Regional Mid-Range Prone/F-Class Combined Championship at 9428 Old Brownsville Rd, Lakeland, TN 38002. This match will be Registered and conducted per NRA Registered rules governing Highpower Rifle.
It was brought to my attention that, per NRA rules, a regional match must consist of 120 shots. Therefore, we will be shooting 6 matches rather than the traditional 5.
Use of Electronic Targets: This match will utilize the ShotMarker target system.
Dropped Shots: If a competitor’s shot does not register, the scorer should ask the scorer on either side if they received an extra shot. If so, the shot is scored as a 0. If not, the shooter is allowed to refire. If that shot registers, it will be scored. If that shot does not register, contact a Match Official. If a competitor receives an extra shot on target, they can take the higher score.
Rifle Classes: F-Open, F-TR, Service Rifle and Any Rifle as defined in Section 3 for Prone and Section 22 for F-Class.
Targets: Targets used will be MR-1 for Prone and MR-1FC for F-class.
Rules: Rifles as defined in Section 3 for Prone and Section 22 for F-Class. NRA Rule 9.1, as it pertains to changing rifles between matches, does not apply. All other current NRA rules will apply where appropriate. Rifles in excess of .308 caliber are not allowed (i.e. .300 Win Mag is OK, but .338 Lapua is prohibited).
Registration: Registration for all matches will begin at 7:00AM CDT and close promptly at 8:00AM CDT each day. Shooters who arrive after 8:00AM CDT may or may not be squadded at the sole discretion of the match officials. Shooters are very strongly encouraged to arrive at the start of registration for the day.
Competitor Eligibility: NRA Membership is encouraged but not required.
Range Capacity: 22 firing points, 66 competitors maximum.
Fees: $75.00 for all individual matches (Matches 1,2,3,4,5,6); $45.00 for Saturday individual matches (Matches 1,2,3); $30.00 for Sunday individual matches (Matches 4,5,6). No refunds will be made after firing commences on Saturday 10/22. Junior entrants under 16 years of age at the time of the match, fee will be $20.00.
Late Registration: The above fees apply to shooters pre-registering. Anyone registering on day of match will be assessed a $10.00 late fee.
Pre-Registration online is highly suggested as it will expedite squadding on Saturday and help us with not having to handle cash on day of match.
Challenge Fees: A fee of $2.00 will be collected in advance of each challenge.
Target Service, Scoring: The 3 or 4-relay rotation will be used as competitor count dictates. Competitors will score. Standard scoring methods will be used.
Empty Chamber Indicator: Empty chamber indicators are required and must be used at all times, except during preparation time and firing.
Squadding: All matches will be squadded by the Chief Statistical Officer. CSO reserves the right to utilize seeded squadding throughout the event to ensure that top competitors shoot under similar conditions.
Awards: The awards schedule will be communicated to the competitors at the match. It is permissible for one individual to qualify for and win more than one award. The match directors may change the awards schedule if deemed advisable.

Safety will be always of paramount importance in all activities. All rifles will have actions open with magazines removed and an empty chamber indicator inserted into the chamber, except when on the line during the preparation period or during firing.
